Key Responsibilities

1. Work Study & Method Improvement

Conduct time studies, motion studies, and method studies for sewing and finishing operations Establish Standard Minute Values (SMV) for styles and operations Improve operator methods to reduce cycle time and fatigue
2. Line Balancing & Productivity

Balance sewing lines to achieve planned output Monitor line efficiency, operator performance, and bottlenecks Support production teams in achieving daily and monthly targets
3. Capacity Planning & Manpower Optimization

Calculate manpower requirements based on style SMVs and targets Assist in line setting and layout planning for new styles Optimize machine and operator utilization
4. Process Improvement & Cost Reduction

Identify non-value-added activities and eliminate waste (lean principles) Support Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives Reduce rework, idle time, and material handling losses
5. Performance Monitoring & Reporting

Track productivity, efficiency, absenteeism, and learning curves Prepare IE reports: efficiency, capacity, line performance, and improvement plans Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Planning teams
6. Training & Support

Train operators on correct methods and best practices Support supervisors in productivity improvement techniques Assist in skill matrix preparation and operator allocation
7. Quality & Safety

Ensure IE methods comply with quality standards and safety norms Support ergonomic improvements to reduce operator fatigue and injuries
Key Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing processes Time study, SMV calculation, and line balancing skills Understanding of lean manufacturing concepts Good analytical and problem-solving skills Effective communication and coordination skills
Educational Qualification

Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Industrial Engineering, Textile Engineering, Apparel Technology, or related field
Experience

2-8 years of experience in Industrial Engineering within garment manufacturing
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to ₹600,000.00 per year
