to optimize manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs while maintaining quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will apply industrial engineering principles, with a strong background in
precision machining (HMC/VMC)
, to design workflows, layout facilities, and enhance productivity.
Key Responsibilities (Updated)
Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to increase productivity, reduce waste, and ensure optimal use of resources.
Conduct Time and Motion Studies, and Machining Time Calculation
to establish accurate production standards and eliminate non-value-added time.
o This includes precise calculation of cycle times for machining operations by applying knowledge of
cutting tools & cutting parameters
(feed, speed, depth of cut).
Develop and implement standards for
jigs and fixtures developments
for new jobs to ensure repeatability, quality, and efficient setup.
Develop and implement
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
and work instructions, particularly for
job setup on HMC/VMC
machines.
Design efficient plant/facility layouts, material handling systems, and production schedules.
Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, maintenance, and R&D.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track improvements and address variances.
Lead cost-reduction projects and suggest improvements in resource utilization.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements (Updated)
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
6-10 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setup.
