Job Description

Core Responsibilities

The day-to-day duties of an industrial electrician can be categorized into three primary phases:

1. Installation and Upgrades

Wiring and Conduit:

Installing and bending heavy-duty "rigid" conduit and pulling large-gauge wire for power distribution.

Equipment Set-up:

Connecting and commissioning high-voltage motors (480V and up), generators, and heavy-duty transformers.

System Layouts:

Developing or following electrical blueprints and schematics to map out wiring for new production lines.
2. Routine Maintenance

Preventative Inspections:

Testing components like circuit breakers, relays, and sensors to identify wear before a failure occurs.

Cleaning and Calibration:

Cleaning circuit boards and contacts, and calibrating instruments like timers, thermostats, and pressure switches.

Record Keeping:

Maintaining detailed logs of all maintenance and repair work for compliance and future troubleshooting.
3. Troubleshooting and Repair

Fault Diagnosis:

Using diagnostic tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes) to locate the root cause of electrical failures in complex machinery.

Component Replacement:

Replacing faulty circuit boards, sensors, switches, and high-voltage motor components.

Minimizing Downtime:

Responding to emergency breakdowns immediately to prevent costly production stops.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
