Key Responsibilities of Industrial Electrician

Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems including wiring, control systems, motors, and generators. Troubleshoot electrical issues in machinery and production systems using appropriate testing equipment and diagnostics tools. Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical drawings. Perform routine inspections to identify hazards or potential electrical problems. Maintain and update electrical system documentation. Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and safety standards. Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), variable frequency drives (VFDs), and automation systems. Collaborate with maintenance teams, engineers, and production staff to minimize downtime. Test and calibrate electrical components to ensure proper operation. Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and electrical supplies.

Key Responsibilities of Industrial Mechanic

Install, assemble, and align heavy machinery and mechanical components. Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems including motors, conveyors, pumps, compressors, and production machines. Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and safety. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment manuals. Operate hand and power tools, hoists, welding equipment, and other machinery as needed. Replace defective parts, adjust equipment, and test system functionality. Lubricate and clean machinery to maintain optimum performance. Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair work. Work with other maintenance staff, electricians, and production teams to diagnose issues. Adhere to safety procedures, lockout/tagout protocols, and workplace standards.
