About the internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. 3D modeling & visualization:
a. Create 3D models and digital representations of industrial layouts and products.
b. Assist in rendering realistic visuals for design presentations.
2. Design refinement & optimization:
a. Work on improving efficiency, usability, and aesthetics of industrial designs.
b. Suggest modifications based on functionality and feasibility.
3. Industry research & process mapping:
a. Visit various industrial facilities to study their workflows and production processes.
b. Design end-to-end production setups, including factory layouts and machine placements.
c. Rig 3D models for accurate simulation, ensuring they function as realistically as possible.
4. Collaboration & documentation:
a. Work closely with engineers and designers to refine design concepts.
b. Maintain design files, documentation, and revisions for ongoing projects.
5. Industry trends & innovation:
a. Research emerging trends in industrial design and manufacturing.
b. Analyze and benchmark best practices for continuous improvement.

Other requirements
1. Technical skills & software proficiency:
a. Experience with 3D modeling software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Rhino, Fusion 360, or Blender).
b. Familiarity with rendering tools (KeyShot, V-Ray, or Unreal Engine) for high-quality visual outputs.
c. Understanding of rigging and animation for realistic 3D model simulations.
2. Understanding of industrial processes:
a. Strong interest in manufacturing, factory layouts, and production workflows.
b. Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and industrial automation.
c. Ability to analyze and optimize industrial spaces for efficiency.
3. Problem-solving & design thinking:
a. Ability to break down complex workflows into efficient design solutions.
b. Strong analytical skills to identify process inefficiencies and propose improvements.
c. Adaptability to work on evolving design challenges.
4. Collaboration & communication:
a. Ability to work closely with engineers, factory managers, and tech teams.
b. Strong visual storytelling and presentation skills for conveying design concepts.
c. Clear documentation of design iterations and project insights.
5. Curiosity & industry awareness:
a. Passion for emerging technologies in industrial design and automation.
b. Willingness to visit industries and observe real-world production setups.
c. Openness to learning new tools and methodologies for better design execution.
