Job Description

Induction Furnace Supervisor, Durgapur Location ( Male only with Steel experience)

Responsibilities:

Supervising and coordinating induction melting operations:

This includes overseeing the entire melting process from start to finish, ensuring proper charging, melting, and pouring procedures are followed.

Managing and training personnel:

Recruiting, training, and supervising a team of induction furnace operators, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and safe work practices.

Ensuring production targets are met:

Monitoring production schedules, optimizing furnace performance, and addressing any bottlenecks or issues that may arise.

Maintaining equipment and ensuring safety:

Overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of induction furnaces, including refractory lining and induction coils, and enforcing strict adherence to safety protocols.

Monitoring quality control:

Collaborating with the quality control department to ensure melts meet specified chemical compositions, temperatures, and other quality parameters.

Maintaining accurate records:

Keeping detailed records of production data, material usage, equipment maintenance, and any incidents or near misses.

Implementing continuous improvement:

Identifying areas for improvement in energy efficiency, process optimization, and cost reduction, and implementing solutions.

Ensuring compliance with standards:

Adhering to relevant safety, environmental, and quality standards, such as ISO standards.

Coordinating with other departments:

Collaborating with engineering, maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of projects.

Troubleshooting and problem-solving:

Identifying and resolving issues related to furnace operation, equipment malfunction, or process deviations.

Safety:

Conducting regular safety meetings, incident investigations, and implementing corrective actions to maintain a safe working environment.

Raw material handling:

Overseeing the proper handling and storage of raw materials, chemicals, and alloys.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?20,000.00 per month
