Job Summary:
The Indian Commis I is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting authentic Indian dishes in accordance with the hotel's high culinary standards. The role demands strong knowledge of Indian cuisine, ingredients, and techniques to ensure guest satisfaction and consistency in taste and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook Indian dishes as per standard recipes and plating guidelines.
Maintain hygiene, sanitation, and cleanliness of the work area as per HACCP standards.
Ensure timely preparation and service during meal periods.
Assist in mise en place and daily kitchen operations.
Monitor food quality, taste, and portion control to minimize wastage.
Support the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in menu planning and new dish trials.
Store ingredients properly and ensure stock rotation (FIFO method).
Follow all safety and hygiene procedures in the kitchen.
Train and guide junior staff (Commis II & III) as required.
Report maintenance issues of kitchen equipment promptly.

Requirements:
Education:Diploma or Certificate in Hotel Management / Culinary Arts.
Experience:Minimum 2-3 years of experience as Indian Commis I or Commis II in a reputed hotel or restaurant.
Knowledge:Expertise in Indian curry, tandoor, and gravy preparations.
Skills:*
Strong culinary skills and product knowledge.
Team player with good communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and maintain consistency.
