We are looking for an experienced Indian Chef (CDP) to join a resort kitchen in Andaman. The role involves preparing authentic and contemporary Indian dishes while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and presentation suitable for a resort environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and present a wide range of Indian cuisines (North Indian, South Indian, and regional specialities as applicable).
Ensure consistency in taste, quality, portion control, and presentation.
Handle daily mise-en-place and supervise kitchen operations within the assigned section.
Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
Assist in menu planning and introduce new dishes based on guest preferences and seasonal availability.
Monitor inventory, control food costs, and minimize wastage.
Coordinate with other kitchen team members for smooth service operations.
Candidate Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Indian cuisine.
Prior experience in hotel or resort kitchens preferred.
Strong knowledge of traditional recipes, gravies, tandoor/curry sections (as applicable).
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and in a remote location.
Disciplined, team-oriented, and quality-driven.
