Role Summary:

Robotics Process Automation (RPA) Project Manager works closely with the overall Delivery lead, the RPA implementation team, and the customer, to automate, wholly, or in part, a set of processes as per the defined contractual commitments, using an approved automation product (such as Blue Prism/ UIPath/Automation Anywhere). The project manager oversees the planning, implementation, and tracking of the project to ensure the business outcomes are achieved, and ensures handover to the run support team for effective ongoing operational support.
DUTIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES

Responsibilities include, but may not be restricted to:


  • Collaborates effectively with the Solution Architect to understand the contractual scope of work, the milestones, the dependencies, WNS and the customer responsibilities, the assumptions and risks associated with the defined solution, and creates a baselined work plan to implement and deliver the contracted scope of work.
  • Defines the organization structure and the roles and responsibilities for the staff on the project.
  • Works with scheduling and resourcing teams to identify & onboard the staff needed to execute the work plan.
  • Ensures all project dependencies are met in a timely fashion. Some examples are
    • completing background checks for personnel
    • securing access ids to source applications
    • ensuring development, test and production environments are available as per defined milestones
    • Availability of subject matter experts from the customer’s organization for design review and sign-offs.
  • Define the change management process to be implemented for the project, including
    • Identification and classification of change
    • Agreement with customer to proceed with assessing the change for impacts to cost, schedule, effort and quality.
    • Process to approve and implement the change
    • Re-baselining of work plan and budgets to include approved change requests.
  • Defines the issue resolution and risk mitigation strategy for the project, including escalation mechanism to the Customer and Vendor management.
  • Defines the communication plan for the project, including
    • Setting up a cadence for internal project meetings to monitor progress; identify, report and help resolve issues and mitigate risks.
    • Reporting project progress to the business owners and assuring the project is solving their problems and achieving their goals(within the framework of the defined scope)
    • Participation in any senior management review meetings
  • Executes the project as per the defined work plan, and within the approved budget
  • Ensures the project is executed as per the COE RPA Standards
  • Provides timely feedback for the staff on the project.
  • Ensures a smooth handover and transition to the Support team.
KEY SKILLS
  • 10+ years of experience in information technology, including a minimum of 5 years of successful delivery of SI projects
  • Experience in leading small teams having between 10 -20 team members in a multinational organization.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal essential
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills / business writing skills, to be able to lead and drive discussions with the customer’s business and IT teams.
  • Good negotiation skills.
  • Experience in working with stakeholders both internal and external is essential.
  • Ability to escalate appropriately and to appropriate levels to ensure dependencies are met, or issues resolved to keep the project on schedule is essential.
  • Should have a good blend of Technology and Process knowledge
  • Should be a good people person with ability to work collaboratively with various team members.

Desirable:

  • Prior experience in UI automation, Robotics process automation is an added advantage.
  • Working experience leading a global & cross cultural workforce
    • PMP Certification

  • Bachelor/Master’s university degree in Science/Accounting/Engineering
