Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all aspects of the Indian kitchen operations.
Develop and execute authentic Indian menus that reflect a deep understanding of regional Indian cuisine.
Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality of dishes.
Supervise and train kitchen staff in Indian cooking techniques and safety practices.
Plan and manage food production schedules and ensure timely delivery of dishes.
Maintain kitchen inventory and ensure proper stock levels of spices, ingredients, and supplies.
Monitor food cost, portion control, and waste management.
Ensure compliance with all food hygiene and safety standards (HACCP or local equivalents).
Collaborate with restaurant management on seasonal menu changes, promotions, and special events.
Stay updated with culinary trends and incorporate innovations while maintaining authenticity.
Requirements:
Proven experience (5+ years) as an Indian Chef, with at least 2 years in a Head Chef or leadership role.
In-depth knowledge of regional Indian cuisines (e.g., Punjabi, South Indian, Mughlai, Bengali, etc.).
Formal culinary training preferred, though hands-on experience may substitute.
Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of kitchen hygiene standards and food safety regulations.
