Job Description

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced InDesign JavaScript Developer with 3-5 years of hands-on expertise in creating ExtendScript solutions for Adobe InDesign. The ideal candidate will develop automation scripts to streamline publishing workflows, improve production efficiency, and integrate InDesign with external systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, test, and maintain ExtendScript (JavaScript) automation scripts for Adobe InDesign.
Automate publishing workflows and create custom tools/panels within InDesign.
Integrate InDesign with external data sources (XML, JSON, CMS, databases).
Troubleshoot script issues and provide technical support.
Document scripts, processes, and automated workflows.
Collaborate with design, production, and IT teams.
Required Skills:
3-5 years of experience in InDesign scripting using ExtendScript.
Strong knowledge of the Adobe InDesign Object Model.
Solid JavaScript coding and debugging skills.
Experience working with XML/JSON and data-driven workflows.
Familiarity with Git or other version control tools.
Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
Preferred:
Experience with scripting in other Adobe CC apps.
Knowledge of InDesign Server automation.
Cross-platform scripting (Windows/macOS).
Background in large-scale publishing workflows.
