About the Team
The Transportation team in India is a part of the larger team that operates in Mooresville. We support our Mooresville team on various operational as well as reporting and project related activities. Our operations span across, Freight Pay, System Maintenance and Exception Management. We develop and support reporting for Purchase Orders, Carriers and 3PLs operating our DCC buildings. We also work on projects such as Utilization, Forecasting and Transportation Modeling.
Job Summary:
The primary purpose of this role is to help Lowe's become more efficient at managing our Transportation Operations and serving our internal customers by facilitating a center of excellence for operational excellence and efficiency. In this role, you will execute and own low to mid complex BAU processes, drive low complex project execution with support & guidance. You will also identify operational efficiency opportunities and work with Analysts and Senior Analysts to address those opportunities.
You will focus on improving your business context & functional acumen, including but not limited to processes, projects, tools & systems utilized within the team. It would be an added advantage if you could help the Analysts and Sr. Analysts with data gathering/cleaning/validation.
To be successful, the individual in this role must deliver high standards of quality, timeliness & efficiency when it comes to BAU operations.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Core Responsibilities:

  • Understands and executes all the Freight Pay related activities both in Import and Domestic Transportation. Constantly keeps the leadership and stakeholders updated on the daily deliverables and meets all the deliverables with high standards of quality and timeliness.
  • Executes all the Exception Management activities that are needed to support BAU (Business as Usual) for the Transportation Function, both Import and Domestic.
  • Executes all the System Maintenance activities that are needed to support BAU for the Transportation Function, both Import and Domestic.
  • Acquires business context and domain knowledge on all areas of Transportation Function
  • Contributes to low to mid complex projects and analyses done by Analysts and Senior Analysts
  • Communicates to leadership and stakeholders on a consistent basis regarding operational metrics and holds themselves accountable to achieve 100% quality and timeliness.
  • Responsible for continuously learn and grow either technically or functionally or both depending on their interests
  • Contributes towards the operational efficiency measures being undertaken within the team
Years of Experience:
Overall 1-2 years of Experience
  • 1+ years of experience in Supply chain Management
  • 1+ years' experience in Transportation, Logistics management
Education Qualification & Certifications
Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research or Related Field
Skill Set Required
Primary Skills (must have)
  • Ability to learn, understand and implement Supply Chain concepts quickly and accurately
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of transportation operations
  • Adequate problem-solving and time management skills
  • Basic knowledge and exposure to Excel & SQL
Secondary Skills (desired)
  • Ability to identify and drive operational efficiencies without support
  • Experience in Data mining and visualization tool such as Power BI
  • Ability to contribute towards Focus Group action plans
