About the team and this role:
This is an exciting new position reporting directly to the CEO, who is personally incubating this project. Inkle has recently entered into deep partnerships with
Stripe
and
Clerky
to provide
US-India incorporation services
to India-based startup founders.
This role is a unique and fascinating combination of product, sales, marketing, execution, partnerships, legal, ops and support. It offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of legal, financial, and technology domains. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the most disruptive Indian and global startup founders, strengthening global partnerships, and shaping the future of cross-border business and economic output. We're expecting a big volume - this is the chance to own this from day zero.
Responsibilities:
1.Partnerships & Product:
The starting point is done (we've tied up with Stripe Atlas and Clerky). So you'll serve as the primary point of contact for partners for all queries, product-related discussions, and collaboration requirements.
For US incorporations, much of the productisation is done, but there's always improvements to the workflow. That will be your responsibility and requires a willingness to go into detail on legal documentation.
Partner closely with India-based CAs/lawyers to help founders with India incorporations (on top of the US incorporations).
Expand to offer US incorporation help to even non-Indians.
2.Sales & Marketing:
Take the ready product and grow it. Relentlessly. This is your chance to take something that has strong demand and a ready product, and just open the floodgates. Set a time-bound target like 500 incorporations and track/report progress weekly.
Market through social media. Identify, establish, and manage new channels for lead generation. Collaborate with the marketing team to design and execute campaigns, webinars, and other initiatives to drive client acquisition.
Sell via demos and close, and then onboard customers.
3.Execution & Support:
Execute document sets on the SaaS platforms. Oversee and manage clients throughout the incorporation process.
Develop a thorough understanding of the incorporation process to effectively support founders with their queries.
This is step-by-step and requires attention to detail and extensive action reminders.
Implement dashboards for progress tracking, chat, feedback and more.
Enable their transition into Inkle Tax & Books (which is the actual purpose of us doing Inkle Incorporate).
Manage and nurture potential leads to convert them into active clients.
As the demand grows, build a team under yourself to handle all of this.
Who we're looking for:
Crazy proactiveness. This is the number one trait we're looking for. We will not micromanage you - you must be a complete self-starter, and make yourself super busy and just take care of things without being asked.
Very high attention to detail. This is super important, specifically for this role, as it deals with a lot of legal documentation.
Working with lots of software - speed is of the essence, and you must be comfortable using AI tools to get even faster.
Communication is key: you'll need very strong English (written and spoken) and absolute willingness to overcommunicate without being asked.
1-2 years of work experience, ideally at a law firm, company secretarial role, or B2B SaaS company - but this is not mandatory.
Based in Bengaluru in office full time (Monday-Friday 10am-7pm) but late night calls may be required if any founders live outside India.
Great at cultivating and maintaining relationships across cultures and timezones.
