Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct inspection and verification of incoming materials (e.g., switchgear components, cables, connectors, busbars, relays, meters, panel structures, etc.) as per approved specifications and drawings. Review supplier quality documents including Test Certificates, Inspection Reports, and Compliance Certificates. Identify non-conformities, initiate rejection procedures, and coordinate with procurement and suppliers for replacements or corrections. Maintain and update IQC records, inspection logs, and reports for traceability and audit purposes. Work with Design and Production teams to understand technical requirements and ensure compliance. Ensure proper storage, tagging, and handling of accepted and rejected materials. Support supplier audits and quality improvement initiatives. Use measuring instruments such as multimeters, vernier calipers, micrometers, insulation testers, etc., as needed for inspection. Adhere to company safety and quality standards and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Competencies:

Good knowledge of electrical components used in LT/HT electrical panels Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001, IEC/IS standards for electrical panels Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and BOMs Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good communication and documentation skills Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, and basic lean quality tools is an added advantage
