The Incharge - Safety and Security is responsible for maintaining a secure and safe environment for all staff, clients, and visitors. This includes supervising the security team, managing surveillance systems, enforcing safety protocols, and ensuring timely and safe execution of client outings and transfers (shifting). The role also ensures full compliance with statutory and organizational safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Security & Surveillance Management
Ensure 24/7 manned security at all access points.
Monitor CCTV and security systems to ensure 98%+ functionality.
Conduct regular surveillance system checks and update footage reviews.
Patrolling & Physical Safety
Ensure regular patrolling of premises (minimum twice per shift).
Identify and report suspicious activity, ensuring zero tolerance for safety lapses.
Emergency Preparedness
Conduct monthly inspections of fire extinguishers, alarms, emergency exits, and first aid kits.
Organize and lead fire and evacuation drills (at least twice a year).
Maintain and implement emergency response plans.
Incident Management & Reporting
Respond to incidents within 5 minutes of report.
Submit complete incident reports within 24 hours.
Maintain daily security logs, visitor registers, and safety checklists.
Security Staff Supervision
Monitor attendance, grooming, and discipline of all security personnel.
Conduct regular briefings and training (at least once per quarter).
Evaluate team performance and recommend improvements.
Safety Compliance & Audit
Ensure 100% compliance with internal and external safety audits.
Maintain safety records and update SOPs regularly.
Client Shifting & Outing Management
Coordinate and supervise client shifting within or outside the premises.
Ensure clients are accompanied by trained staff during outings.
Maintain outing registers with complete documentation of time, purpose, escort details, and approvals.
Ensure client safety, discipline, and adherence to outing protocols at all times.
Report any delays, issues, or emergencies during outings immediately.
Access Control & Visitor Management
Maintain accurate and timely visitor records.
Enforce strict access control policies to prevent unauthorized entry.
Asset Protection
Safeguard property and prevent theft, loss, or damage.
Conduct asset checks and notify admin of any risks or issues.
Documentation & Compliance
Ensure all safety and security documentation is complete and up to date.
Maintain outing reports, movement registers, checklists, and client escort logs.
Required Skills & Competencies:

Qualifications & Experience:
Graduate in any discipline degree or relevant experience
Certificate/Diploma in Fire and Industrial Safety is an advantage
Minimum 5 years' experience in safety/security management
Experience handling client movement in healthcare or rehabilitation settings is an advantage
Working Conditions:
On-site, with availability during emergencies or late hours
May include travel for client movement, shifting, or supervision of outings
