& Summary
Job Overview: The Network Engineer will provide enterprise-wide network system infrastructure support for complex systems and interconnected technologies that require day-to-day support and administration in order to maintain optimal network performance.
This position will be responsible for deploying, routing and maintaining a WAN/LAN/Wi-Fi providing support with Firewalls, Load Balancing, Routers and switches to proactively address network issues that impact services.
*Responsibilities:
xc2xb7 Administer, Monitor, maintain and optimize WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi networks for optimal performance and maximum availability.
xc2xb7 Troubleshoot, evaluate and resolve hybrid wan/LAN/Wi-Fi performance and capacities issues.
xc2xb7 Perform WAN/LAN/Wi-Fi/Firewall/Load balancer configuration, backups and regular network documentation updates.
xc2xb7 Collaborate on the design and implementation of new technical solutions.
xc2xb7 Troubleshoot and optimize LAN, MAN and WAN circuits with upstream provider.
xc2xb7 Assist with security and third-party software installations.
xc2xb7 Communicate and liaise with all company departments; notify appropriate parties immediately of any issues which may affect efficient operations including, but not limited to, outages, service disruptions, and network bottlenecks.
xc2xb7 Maximize network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with network architects for network optimization.
xc2xb7 Secure network system by establishing and enforcing policies; defining and monitoring access.
xc2xb7 Take an automated data driven approach to diagnosing and solving complex network infrastructure issues
xc2xb7 Leverage automation skills and take a "DevOps" approach to improve efficiency of solving complex network infrastructure issues, network management.
xc2xb7 Demonstrate a high level of energy, results driven and able to work under pressure with tight deadlines
*Mandatory skill sets
xc2xb7 6-8 years experience in Network implementation and support role for a large IP network
xc2xb7 Full comprehension of the TCP/IP application suite and OSI models
xc2xb7 Working knowledge of administration, implementation, and troubleshooting of IPv4, Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches
xc2xb7 Hands-on experience with Cisco WAN Routers, Cisco Nexus switch, Juniper/Fortigate firewalls, F5/Netscaler Load balancers, Dynamic routing protocols, DHCP, NAT, and QoS
xc2xb7 Experience in implementation of interior and exterior WAN routing protocols and knowledge on New WAN technologies (SDWAN)
xc2xb7 Knowledge/Experience with New technologies: SDWAN, NSX, ACI and Cloud computing
xc2xb7 Network installation experience in a high availability LAN, data centre or NOC.
xc2xb7 Hands-on experience LAN switching not limited to spanning tree, VLAN, trunking, IGMP, PIM and some working knowledge on DMVPN, VPN/SSLVPN Tunnels, VoIP and Multicast
xc2xb7 Should have worked on network monitoring tools and Experience with virtual server environments
xc2xb7 Attention to detail and discipline to utilize best practices for network systems and security
xc2xb7 Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
xc2xb7 Ability to interact with both internal and external customers that are technical or non-technical
xc2xb7 Willing to work after hours/weekends to perform planned and emergency network maintenance
xc2xb7 Ability to work independently and be a team player
xc2xb7 A passion for high customer satisfaction and achieving operational excellence
