Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage

end-to-end import and export operations

including documentation, logistics, customs clearance, and coordination with CHA and freight forwarders. Ensure compliance with

DGFT, Customs, EXIM, and international trade regulations

. Handle

LCs (Letters of Credit)

,

shipping documentation

, and

bank negotiations

related to export payments. Coordinate with production, dispatch, and finance teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and shipment. Manage

international client communication

, shipping schedules, and container tracking. Liaise with suppliers, transporters, and port authorities to ensure smooth and cost-effective logistics operations. Maintain updated MIS on shipments, payments, freight rates, and export incentives (MEIS/RODTEP). Identify and implement opportunities for

cost optimization and process efficiency

in export-import operations. Keep abreast of changing trade policies, export incentives, and global logistics trends.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Graduate / Postgraduate in

International Business, Logistics, or Commerce

. Minimum

5 years of experience

in import-export operations, preferably in a

manufacturing/export-oriented

industry. Thorough understanding of

EXIM documentation, HS codes, and customs processes

. Proficiency in

MS Excel, Tally / ERP systems

, and export portals (ICEGATE, DGFT). Excellent

negotiation, coordination, and communication

skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on timely execution.
