Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and agents to gain preferential rates and priority allocations.
Market Intelligence & Monitoring
Continuously monitor market trends, seasonal fluctuations, and competitor pricing strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
Provide regular insights and forecasts on rate movements to management and sales teams.
Pricing Proposals & Quotations
Prepare, update, and maintain accurate freight pricing proposals and customer quotations in line with company policies.
Ensure pricing structures are transparent, profitable, and adaptable to changing market conditions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with operations and sales teams to align pricing with service capabilities and customer expectations.
Provide guidance and support to the sales team during customer negotiations, ensuring competitiveness while protecting company margins.
Performance & Compliance
Track pricing performance against KPIs (volume, margin, win ratio) and recommend improvements.
Ensure all quotations comply with company standards, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
