Position Overview:



We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic Import-Export and International Sales Executive to join our growing team at Matrix Exports. This role involves international sales development, import-export documentation, and client relationship management, with opportunities for global exposure and professional growth.



Freshers passionate about global trade are welcome to join through our structured 6-month internship program, which offers practical learning and a clear path to a full-time role.



Key Responsibilities:



1. International Sales & Business Development



Identify and target potential international clients to expand the company's global reach.

Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve export revenue goals.

Build and maintain strong client relationships for sustained business growth.

Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms to maximize profitability.


2. Import-Export Operations



Manage complete export-import operations including documentation, shipping, and customs clearance.

Ensure compliance with international trade laws, Incoterms, and customs regulations.

Coordinate with freight forwarders, suppliers, and customs agents to ensure smooth logistics.

Resolve operational issues such as shipment delays or documentation discrepancies.


3. Market Research & Analysis



Conduct market analysis to identify emerging opportunities and competitor trends.

Analyze customer feedback and sales data to refine marketing and sales strategies.

Prepare detailed reports on sales performance, export market trends, and operational efficiency.


4. Client Communication & Support



Serve as the primary contact for international clients, addressing inquiries and providing quotations.

Offer post-sales support and maintain professional correspondence for all transactions.

Ensure client satisfaction and retention through efficient service and timely updates.


5. Documentation & Compliance



Prepare, review, and manage export documents including commercial invoices, packing lists, shipping bills, and certificates of origin.

Maintain accurate compliance with DGFT, customs, and export promotion council requirements.

Stay updated with changes in trade regulations and tariffs.


Compensation & Internship Structure



Compensation during Probation / Internship:



Base Stipend: ₹8,000 per month.

A minimum of two successful sales per month is required to qualify for the full stipend.

If this minimum target is not achieved, a deduction of ?2,000 will apply.

Performance-based incentives are offered for every confirmed deal, with payouts made on a monthly cycle.


Working Hours:



Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 7:30 PM.



Training and Onboarding:



Comprehensive on-the-job training covering:

International sales and marketing strategies

Export documentation procedures

Client communication and negotiation

Trade compliance and shipping operations

The pace and focus of training will vary depending on the candidate's academic background and experience level.


Sales KPIs (Key Performance Indicators):



A "successful sale" refers to any confirmed client order or acquisition that meets export documentation and payment compliance standards.

Product categories may include automotive components, agro products, preforms, made-ups, and other export lines, depending on market focus and candidate aptitude.


Lead Sources & Tools:



Leads will be provided via the company's internal CRM, tender portals, and trade directories.

Executives will also be trained to generate new leads independently through international trade channels.

Continuous managerial guidance and support will be available throughout the internship.


Operational Details:



The role is on-site at our Jayanagar, 5th Block, Bengaluru office.

Occasional local travel may be required for supplier visits or trade meetings (communicated in advance).


Documentation & Compliance Training:



Interns will be trained in Incoterms, customs procedures, shipping documentation, and export compliance protocols.

Accuracy and understanding in these areas will be key performance evaluation metrics.


Post-Probation Pathway:



After the 6-month internship, performance will be evaluated on:

Sales performance

Documentation accuracy

Initiative, consistency, and teamwork

Successful interns achieving a minimum of 10 new client acquisitions during the internship will qualify for:

Full-time position confirmation

Enhanced compensation package of ?18,000 per month + incentives


Qualifications & Skills:



Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Commerce, or equivalent.

0-3 years of relevant experience (freshers may apply for the internship track).

Strong grasp of global trade practices, logistics, and Incoterms.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Proficiency in MS Office and basic CRM tools.

Ability to work independently, handle pressure, and meet targets.

Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
