Maintain accurate records of all import transactions and ensure proper accounting treatment.
Prepare and analyze import costing sheets including freight, insurance, customs duties, and taxes.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in import bills.
Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and customs brokers for timely clearance and documentation.
Ensure compliance with all applicable tax and regulatory requirements (e.g., VAT, customs duties).
Monitor foreign currency payments and ensure timely settlement of supplier invoices.
Record landed cost entries and track inventory valuation accurately.
Support audits by providing necessary import documentation and reports.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting import-related costs.
