Terms of Reference

Reporting to: Implementation Team Manager
Responsible for: Implementation Consultancy:
\xe2\x9e\xa2 Provide implementation and consultancy to install, build and configure all system elements from a software perspective.
\xe2\x9e\xa2 Provide post delivery support and technical training to internal and external staff.
\xe2\x9e\xa2 Maintain implementation documentation to allow third parties to deploy software to the in-house standard
\xe2\x9e\xa2 Maintain accurate quality records of customer project work, sufficient to allow seamless handovers
\xe2\x9e\xa2 Manage problems through to resolution escalating proactively and formally as necessary \xe2\x9e\xa2 Maintain effective working relationships with customer and Northgate colleagues
\xe2\x9e\xa2 Manage directly the technical issues of assigned projects by interfacing with the technical personnel employed by the end user, the Main Contractor, suppliers, sub-contractors; within targeted quality bounds and to targeted timescales
\xe2\x9e\xa2 Aid in achieving acceptance of the system or phase to ensure there is no dispute over the acceptance Project Management:
\xe2\x9e\xa2 At all times minimise the risk and liability on Northgate with respect to the delivery. Do not accept any addition risk or liability within the current project scope and budget. Ensure that risk and liability is fairly shared with all parties and do not accept a risk or liability that should be or is assigned to another party.
\xe2\x9e\xa2 Highlighting change control, maximising commercial opportunities Targets/Objectives
\xe2\x9e\xa2 To meet any specific project targets as defined at the outset of the project.
\xe2\x9e\xa2 To forecast project revenues and subsequently meet forecast.
\xe2\x9e\xa2 70% of booked time spent of fee earning projects work.

Supplementary:
\xe2\x9e\xa2 Be prepared to travel inland and overseas as and where project needs demand

Qualifications

SKILLS
\xe2\x9e\xa2 A very good working knowledge of Unix based technologies from both a user and an administrator perspective
\xe2\x9e\xa2 Familiarity with the following technologies;
o Relational Database (SQL-Server, Oracle)
o MS-Windows Operating Systems
o Java
o Apache
o Tomcat
o IIS
o Ansible
o Jenkins
\xe2\x9e\xa2 Excellent communication skills, working with minimal direction but promoting an open flow of information so that all concerned are well informed;
\xe2\x9e\xa2 Effective relationships builder, developing working relationships with clients and individuals in other business units;
\xe2\x9e\xa2 Working knowledge of the project life-cycle, structured methodologies, and delivering projects on time to budget;
\xe2\x9e\xa2 Organizes time effectively, determining the right resources needed to effectively perform job assignments;
\xe2\x9e\xa2 Technically proficient working with and installing software
\xe2\x9e\xa2 Strong and professional attitude to working with third party suppliers
\xe2\x9e\xa2 Open minded to technical and commercial opportunities
\xe2\x9e\xa2 Strong decision-making skills;
\xe2\x9e\xa2 Sales and commercially aware;
