Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support our educational team in fostering a positive learning environment for students. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and possess a strong foundation in early childhood education principles. This role involves assisting teachers in lesson planning, classroom management, and providing individualized support to students, particularly those with special needs.

Duties

Assist in the development and implementation of lesson plans that align with curriculum standards. Support literacy and math education through engaging activities tailored to students' needs. Provide individualized attention to students, especially those with disabilities or autism, to enhance their learning experience. Manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting a respectful and productive learning environment. Facilitate small group instruction and support students during independent work. Collaborate with teachers to assess student progress and adapt instructional strategies as necessary. Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Experience

Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, such as daycare or private schools. Familiarity with early childhood education principles, childhood development, and behavior management techniques. Experience in lesson planning, curriculum development, and classroom management is highly desirable. Background in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues. Previous experience in Montessori or preschool settings is beneficial. A passion for teaching and supporting the growth of young learners is essential.

Pay: From ?150.00 per hour
