You will be part of Accenture Operations global data science group, an energetic, strategic, high-visibility and high-impact team, to innovate and transform the Accenture Operations business using machine learning, advanced analytics and data science. Data Scientists in Operations follow multiple approaches for project execution from adapting existing assets to Operations use cases, exploring third-party and open-source solutions for speed to execution and for specific use cases to engaging in fundamental research to develop novel solutions. They also leverage the vast global network of Accenture to collaborate with Accenture Tech Labs and Accenture Open Innovation for creating solutions.

What are we looking for?

o Masters in Statistics, Economics, Business Analytics/Data Science or Mathematics, Operations Research/ Post graduate certification in Data Science/Business Analytics o Experience working on Oracle Retail Demand Forecasting (RDF) o Advanced knowledge and working experience in MS Excel and PPT o Strong programming experience - Python o Data visualization experience- Power BI o Ability to understand, manage and navigate large datasets o Proficient in Time series Forecasting o Experience in Consumer Retail Supply Chain Demand Forecasting, Location Planning, Assortment Planning, Demand Planning & Retail Analytics o 8-14 years professional experience working on Retail Analytics and Data science o 3-4 years of working experience on Retail Demand Forecasting & Planning o Experience managing junior team members & handling stakeholders independently o Knowledge of other ML techniques like - Classification, Regression, Clustering, Neural Networks, Dimensionality Reduction Techniques, Ensemble Modelling (random forest, boosted tree, etc.), Natural Language Processing, Forecasting o Ability to think creatively to solve real world business problems o Ability to work in a global collaborative team environment o Strong communication and articulation skills in English

Roles and Responsibilities:

o In this role you are required to identify and assess complex problems for area of responsibility o The person would create solutions in situations in which analysis requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors o Requires adherence to strategic direction set by senior management when establishing near-term goals o Interaction of the individual is with senior management at a client and/or within Accenture, involving matters that may require acceptance of an alternate approach o Some latitude in decision-making in involved o You will act independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments o Decisions individual at this role makes have a major day to day impact on area of responsibility o The person manages large - medium sized teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Accenture
