Study Abroad Counselor
Job Description
The Study Abroad Counselor is responsible for providing counseling and guidance to students who are interested in studying abroad. This includes helping students research and select universities, programs, and courses, as well as providing assistance with the application process, visa applications, and financial aid. The Study Abroad Counselor also works with students to develop their study abroad plans and to prepare them for their time abroad.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide counseling and guidance to students on study abroad options, including research, selection, and application processes
2. Assist students with the application process for study abroad programs, including visa applications and financial aid
3. Develop study abroad plans with students and track their progress
4. Prepare students for their time abroad, including cultural orientation and language training
5. Maintain records of student applications and progress
6. Represent the company at educational fairs and events
7. Stay up-to-date on current trends in study abroad
