Key Responsibilities:
Plan and implement
IEC/BCC activities
related to sanitation, hygiene, waste management, and SBM goals.
Develop
IEC materials
such as posters, brochures, banners, social media content, and videos.
Conduct
community meetings, awareness drives, school sessions
, and street plays.
Organize
capacity-building workshops
, training, and stakeholder engagement events.
Coordinate with
Gram Panchayats, block officials, local influencers, and community groups
.
Document field activities, success stories, photographs, and progress reports.
Monitor the impact of IEC activities and suggest improvements.
Maintain communication records, media coverage, and campaign documentation.
Support the district team in planning and executing monthly IEC calendars.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in
Mass Communication, Social Work, Journalism, Rural Development
, or related fields.
1-2 years of experience
in IEC, communication, social mobilization, or development sector.
Knowledge of
IEC/BCC methods
, community engagement, and field outreach.
Creativity in designing communication materials and planning campaigns.
Good communication skills in Hindi and English.
Ability to work in rural areas and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
Basic skills in MS Office; knowledge of graphic designing is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in
SBM
, WASH, or public health communication campaigns.
Ability to create simple content for social media and awareness videos.
Understanding of local culture and community behavior patterns.
