Position Overview

We are looking for a dynamic

IEC Expert

with a specialization or background in

Urban or Environmental Planning

to lead and support communication and outreach activities under

SBM Urban

. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, strategic thinking, and a passion for urban transformation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead implementation of

IEC activities

under the

Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban)

Design and execute awareness campaigns on sanitation and waste management Collaborate with ULBs, government bodies, and local stakeholders on planning and environmental initiatives Support the development of urban sanitation strategies aligned with mission goals Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders (online/offline) Manage documentation, project reports, and communication materials Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and SBM guidelines

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

Master's Degree in

Urban Planning

,

Environmental Planning

, or a related field (M.Plan preferred)

Experience:

4 to 6 years of professional experience in urban or environmental planning Direct involvement in

Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban)

or similar urban development projects

Skills & Competencies

Strong leadership and coordination skills Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities Project management experience with an eye for detail Familiarity with IEC tools, community mobilization, and participatory planning Knowledge of urban sanitation frameworks and environmental compliance Culturally sensitive and capable of interdisciplinary collaboration
