to join our Intensive Care Unit. The ideal candidate must have strong clinical and critical thinking skills, capable of handling high-stress situations, and providing compassionate, evidence-based care to critically ill patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Attend all in-service training programs and continuously update clinical knowledge.
Prepare and implement individualized nursing care plans for assigned patients.
Follow and implement all unit protocols including:
Hand hygiene
Infection control
Medication policy
Narcotics handling
Biomedical waste management
Perform admission, discharge, and transfer procedures, and assist in daily patient care activities.
Adhere to the rights of medication administration and ensure safe drug delivery.
Maintain high standards of personal, patient, and environmental hygiene.
Ensure accurate and timely record-keeping and documentation of all patient-related activities.
Strictly follow and report all infection control protocols in the ICU.
Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and provide prompt responses to clinical queries.
Assess patient conditions promptly and effectively in critical care situations.
Notify doctors regularly about any changes in patient condition.
Respond quickly to medical emergencies and alert the physician/ICU team as required.
Be responsible for maintaining quality care standards in the ICU department.
Monitor, record, and report patient vitals and immediately escalate any critical changes.
Perform initial assessments on admission and complete required documentation as per hospital standards.
Qualifications:
Diploma / B.Sc. in Nursing from a recognized institute
Valid Nursing Council Registration
Minimum 1-8 years of experience in ICU/Critical Care (preferred)
Skills Required:
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
Ability to work in high-pressure, emergency settings
Good communication and patient-handling skills
Familiarity with ICU equipment and emergency protocols
Accuracy in documentation and reporting
Team-oriented, proactive, and detail-focused
