Job Description

The ICU Staff Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive, high-quality critical care nursing to patients in the Intensive Care Unit. The role includes continuous patient monitoring, timely interventions, advanced nursing care, and coordination with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Clinical Care

Provide direct and continuous care to critically ill patients requiring ventilators, life support, and advanced monitoring. Perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care as per ICU protocols. Administer medications, IV infusions, blood products, and emergency drugs accurately. Monitor vital signs, neurological status, and hemodynamic parameters and escalate abnormalities. Handle emergency situations such as cardiac arrest, shock, sepsis, and trauma as per ACLS/BLS standards. Manage invasive lines (CVP, arterial line), catheters, tracheostomy care, and enteral/parenteral feeding. Maintain strict infection control protocol and sterile techniques.
