Job Description

To provide high-quality, evidence-based, and compassionate nursing care to patients admitted in ICU and General Wards. The staff nurse is responsible for ensuring patient safety, monitoring health conditions, administering treatment, and supporting recovery while maintaining professional standards of nursing practice.

Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Care



Provide direct patient care in accordance with medical instructions and nursing protocols. Assess, monitor, and record patients' vital signs, symptoms, and progress. Administer medications, IV fluids, blood transfusions, and injections as prescribed. Ensure strict infection control practices and hygiene standards. Prepare patients for diagnostic tests, surgeries, and procedures. Assist doctors during rounds, procedures, and emergency situations. Manage critical care equipment (ICU: ventilators, infusion pumps, monitors; Ward: basic monitoring and care). Identify and respond to emergency situations promptly (e.g., CPR, Code Blue).

Patient & Family Care



Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families. Guide families about home care, discharge planning, and follow-up needs. Maintain patient dignity, privacy, and confidentiality at all times.

Documentation & Reporting



Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, charts, and reports. Report changes in patient condition to the physician and nurse in-charge immediately. Ensure proper handover between shifts.

Operational & Administrative



Check and maintain medical equipment, supplies, and drugs. Ensure timely requisition and stock maintenance. Adhere to hospital policies, protocols, and NABH/JCI standards. Participate in quality improvement and patient safety programs.

Training & Development



Participate in nursing education, CME, and skill development programs. Support orientation and training of new nursing staff and interns.

Strong clinical knowledge and nursing skills (critical care & general ward). Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments. Compassionate, patient-centric approach. Effective communication and teamwork. Critical thinking and quick decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience



Education:

GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. Nursing (with valid Nursing Council registration).

Experience:

ICU: Minimum 1-2 years of ICU/critical care experience preferred. General Ward: Freshers or experienced nurses can apply.

Work Conditions



Rotational shifts (day/night). Extended working hours during emergencies. Exposure to critical and high-risk patients.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
