Provide skilled nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU with oncology-related conditions.
Monitor, assess, and document changes in patient condition including vital signs, neurologic status, pain, fluid balance, and response to treatment.
Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products and other treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Operate and manage ICU equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, monitors and other life-support systems.
Emergency & Critical Interventions
Respond promptly to emergencies, initiate resuscitation or stabilization protocols and assist in advanced procedures.
Coordinate with medical team during critical clinical situations.
Support & Communication
Provide emotional support and patient/family education about ICU care plans, prognosis, and procedures.
Communicate patient status updates clearly during shift handovers and with physicians.
Documentation & Standards
Maintain accurate, complete and timely clinical records.
Follow hospital policies, infection control standards (e.g., asepsis, biomedical waste), and ICU protocols.
Teamwork
Collaborate effectively with doctors, respiratory therapists, pharmacists and other nursing staff to implement care plans.
