Patient care:
Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care by supervising and coordinating with other healthcare professionals like doctors.
Handle patient admissions, discharges, and transfers efficiently.
Oversee patient safety, comfort, and hygiene.
Conduct patient rounds to monitor care and provide guidance.
Administrative and operational tasks:
Manage the unit's daily operations, including supplies and equipment.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure their confidentiality.
Handle inventory, check supplies, and manage stock registers.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, hospital policies, and standards like NABH.
Problem-solving and emergency response:
Handle emergencies calmly and efficiently.
Troubleshoot and resolve any patient or staff complaints promptly.
Make administrative decisions to resolve problems as they arise.
