Job Description

Major Job responsibilities include, but are not restricted to and keeping in view NABH status of the hospital:

1.1 The ICN conducts infection control rounds daily and tracks all positive culture cases and maintains the surveillance data,

1.2 Detection of incidence of hospital acquired infection and identification of the cause of infection,

1.3 The ICN is involved in the education and training of HCW's as per guidelines of Infection Control Officer,

1.4 Monitoring compliance to hand hygiene by all HCW's and maintaining its data,

1.5 Ensure compliance to hospital's BMW policy,

1.6 Maintains data of sharps/ Needle stick injuries and post - exposure prophylaxis,

1.7 Monitoring linen segregation (dirty and contaminated) on a daily basis,

1.8 Monitoring sharp disposal in OT and IPD,

1.9 Monitoring sterilization records in OT,

1.10 Conduct daily hospital rounds to inspect the documentation on infection control measures and maintaining NABH KPI's,

1.11 To conduct daily OT rounds between 11:00am to 01:30pm wherein hand hygiene compliance, infection control practices & processes and documentation to be monitored,

1.12 In co-ordination with the Quality consultant to make committee calendars, and ensure meetings are conducted as per schedule. Maintain the minutes of meetings. Also maintaining hospital's NABH quality KPI's,

1.13 Initiates and ensure proper immunization for Hepatitis B virus (immunoglobin use if needed after exposure and HBSAg vaccine), annual influenza immunization for the staff specially in high risk areas and typhoid vaccination of kitchen workers,

1.14 In consultation with Microbiologist/ Physician ( Member HICC) in case of suspected exposure of any hospital worker,

1.15 Participate in regular infection control committee meetings, organizing them and maintaining its minutes. Organize meetings to evaluate the situation at any given point of time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
