About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled

Sr. IBM DB2 Administrator

with

5-8 years of relevant experience in DB2 LUW administration

. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in

DB2 architecture, backup & restore, HADR, performance tuning, and replication setups

.

You will be responsible for

database administration, monitoring, optimization, and troubleshooting

to ensure seamless performance of mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

Manage

DB2 LUW architecture

, installation, instance creation, and product setup. Create and maintain

database objects

(tables, indexes, views, tablespaces, stored procedures). Implement

backup & restore strategies

(online, offline, point-in-time recovery). Perform

tablespace management, reorg (online/offline), and data movement utilities

. Configure & maintain

HADR

for high availability and disaster recovery. Monitor database health using

PD, TOP, and monitoring tools

. Conduct

performance tuning

(DBM/DB parameters, query tuning using EXPLAIN/ADVISE). Handle

redirect restores between servers

and

database upgrades/rollback plans

. Implement

replication setups (SQL & Q)

for primary-to-standby environments. Troubleshoot issues related to

logs, rollback segments, tablespaces, I/O errors, data corruption

. Define

naming conventions, data structures, storage parameters, and security rules

. Estimate and recommend

storage requirements

. Apply

patches, upgrades, and proactive monitoring

to prevent outages. Support

day-to-day database administration & performance optimization

.

Mandatory Skills

DB2 LUW Administration (5-8 Years) Strong knowledge of

DB2 architecture & basic commands

HADR configuration & maintenance Backup/restore & recovery management Tablespace, index & object management Database installation, maintenance & upgrades Query tuning & performance optimization Replication setup (SQL/Q) Linux/Unix administration skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,186.16 - ₹51,627.70 per month
