Introduction
The IBM Cloud Data Services teams are responsible for developing and operating the Software as a Service (SaaS) offerings that provide Data Services in IBM Cloud.:
We are seeking a highly motivated developer with expertise in GOLANG, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, CICD, GitOps and cloud technologies.As part of the team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining microservices deployed in Kubernetes clusters within a CI/CD environment. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to :

• Designing and implementing scalable microservices with high-quality, production-ready code.
• Automating deployments and continuously improving development and operational processes.
• Ensuring all container images and hosted services are compliant with security and organisational standards.
• Configuring observability (logging, metrics, tracing) to monitor and maintain service health.
• Participating in on-call rotations to support production systems and respond to incidents.

Candidates should be collaborative, handle responsibility well, and be eager to learn new tools and technologies. You will be expected to contribute to the design, development, automation, and management of microservices-based solutions and work with other teams to deliver high-quality, highly available services on cloud platforms, including Kubernetes. The role also requires a commitment to security and compliance best practices. Also there we be a rotational ONCALL duty.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Bachelor's in Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant experience.
• 2-5 years of programming experience with GOLANG
• Well Versed with Kubernetes , Docker and cloud-native technologies.
• Strong experience with CICD pipelines, Gitops, Github Actions, Jenkins, bots
• Experience using Helm and GitOps practices to manage Kubernetes-based services.
• 2-5 years of experience in developing and operating highly available, distributed applications in production environments.
• Demonstrates the ability to quickly understand complex problem statements and translate them into effective, scalable solutions.
• Writes high-quality, maintainable code that performs reliably across all environments.
• Ensures minimal defects through rigorous testing and adherence to best practices in software development.
• Proactively identifies edge cases and potential failure points to deliver robust and bug-free implementations.

The candidate must have experience working with any database/MessageQueue like mysql, postgres, redis, rabbitmq
We offer a dynamic and collaborative environment with a "You build it, You run it" culture. You will join a follow-the-sun rotation, taking ownership of system alerts and using your troubleshooting and analytical skills to resolve issues.
Preferred technical and professional experience

• Good knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) and experience with IaaS components such as VPC, Storage, and IAM.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Kafka, Elastic, MySQL, Redis, or MongoDB.
• Experience with service dependency management using Terraform or Ansible.
• Good knowledge of writing effective unit testcase in GOLANG.
