Job Description

Position: IBDP Psychology Teacher
Experience Required: Minimum 3+ years teaching experience
Reports To: Head of Individuals & Societies Department
Position Purpose
Deliver comprehensive IBDP Psychology curriculum at Higher Level and Standard Level, fostering critical thinking, research skills, and psychological understanding while supporting student development within the IB framework.
Essential Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field (Master's preferred)
Teaching certification for secondary education
IBDP certification strongly preferred
Minimum 3 years classroom teaching experience
Experience
IBDP/IB teaching experience highly valued
International school experience preferred
IB examiner experience advantageous
Core Responsibilities
Teaching Excellence
Teach IBDP Psychology at both HL and SL levels
Develop engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with IB standards
Create well-structured unit plans and curriculum materials
Utilize ManageBac for curriculum management and planning
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
Assessment & Student Support
Design formative and summative assessments
Provide timely, constructive feedback to students
Support students with Internal Assessments and Extended Essays
Monitor and report student progress effectively
Guide students in research methodology and academic writing
Collaboration & Development
Collaborate with Psychology teaching team on curriculum development
Participate in Professional Learning Communities
Contribute to department resources and best practices
Engage in continuous professional development
Support interdisciplinary learning approaches
Additional Duties
Supervise extracurricular activities and field trips
Participate in parent meetings and school events
Maintain accurate student records and documentation
Comply with safeguarding policies and procedures
