Role Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed

DP Economics Teacher

to join our IB Diploma Programme team. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in Economics, a passion for teaching, and the ability to guide students in developing economic knowledge, analytical thinking, and real-world application skills.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver well-structured and engaging Economics lessons aligned with the IBDP curriculum. Encourage students to apply economic theories and concepts to global and local contexts. Foster analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills through interactive teaching methods. Provide individual support and constructive feedback to students to enhance their performance. Design, assess, and evaluate formative and summative assessments in line with IBDP standards. Collaborate with colleagues for curriculum planning, internal assessments, and interdisciplinary learning. Organise and support economics-related events, discussions, and school-wide initiatives. Actively participate in professional development opportunities, workshops, and collaborative learning.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills

Strong subject knowledge in Economics with the ability to connect theory to real-world scenarios. Excellent command of English with strong communication skills (written and verbal). Effective classroom management and interpersonal skills to foster positive student engagement. Creative, resourceful, and committed to delivering high-quality teaching. Tech-savvy and comfortable with digital tools (Windows/macOS/Linux, G Suite, Google Meet, Zoom, etc.). Prior teaching experience in the IBDP framework (preferred but not mandatory).

DP:

7:40 AM to 3:45 PM (Monday to Saturday)
