qualified and passionate Economics Teacher
to teach across the
IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), IB Diploma Programme (IBDP), and ISC curriculum
.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong subject expertise, conceptual clarity, and the ability to make Economics relevant, engaging, and inquiry-driven for students in an international academic environment.
Key Responsibilities

Curriculum Planning & Instruction
Plan and deliver high-quality Economics lessons aligned with
IB MYP, IBDP, and ISC curriculum frameworks
.
Develop unit plans and lesson plans that promote
critical thinking, inquiry, and real-world economic understanding
.
Integrate current affairs, case studies, data interpretation, and global perspectives into classroom instruction.
Ensure curriculum alignment, continuity, and progression across grade levels.
Assessment & Academic Monitoring
Design and administer
formative and summative assessments
in line with IB and ISC assessment criteria.
Prepare students for
IB internal assessments, examinations, and ISC board requirements
.
Provide timely, constructive feedback to support student reflection and academic growth.
Maintain accurate academic records and contribute to reporting and evaluation processes.
Student Support & Engagement
Create a positive, inclusive, and intellectually stimulating classroom environment.
Support diverse learning needs through differentiated instruction and targeted academic support.
Offer remedial, enrichment, or extension support as required.
Collaborate with the
Learning Support and Counseling teams
to address individual student needs.
Collaboration & Professional Development
Work collaboratively with colleagues to strengthen interdisciplinary and cross-curricular connections.
Participate actively in departmental meetings, curriculum reviews, and school initiatives.
Engage in continuous professional development related to
IB pedagogy, assessment practices, and Economics education

Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning.

Participate in school events, activities, and pastoral responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

Educational Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in
Economics or a related field
.
Teaching qualification or equivalent professional certification.
IB training or certification (MYP/DP)
is highly desirable.
Experience
Minimum
5 +years of experience
teaching Economics at the
secondary or senior secondary level
.
Experience teaching
IBDP and ISC Economics
is strongly preferred.
Experience in an
international school environment
is an advantage.
