We are seeking a skilled Hyper-V Implementation and Virtualization Engineer to lead the setup and administration of a highly available Hyper-V cluster environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, deploying, and managing Microsoft Hyper-V infrastructure, including VM provisioning, storage, networking, and failover clustering.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and implement Microsoft Hyper-V clusters for enterprise workloads
Configure shared storage (CSV/iSCSI/SAN) and live migration
Provision and manage VM templates and auto-scaling policies
Implement heartbeat and high-availability configuration
Perform cluster validation, patching, and health checks
Automate VM lifecycle using PowerShell scripting
Integrate with backup and monitoring tools (e.g., Veeam, SCOM)
Assist in the migration of physical servers to Hyper-V VMs
Document implementation steps, configurations, and recovery plans
Collaborate with security and networking teams for access control and isolation
Support failover testing, disaster recovery drills, and performance tuningRequired Skills & Experience:
Strong experience with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022
Expertise in Hyper-V Manager, Failover Cluster Manager, and PowerShell
Proficiency with network virtualization, VLANs, virtual switches
Experience with Cluster Shared Volumes (CSV) and iSCSI/SMB storage
Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, and domain-joined VM management
Knowledge of backup/replication tools (Veeam, DPM)
Ability to design for fault tolerance and performance
Understanding of VM security hardening practices
Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate or similar
Experience with System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM)
