Job Description

Key responsibilities



Develop and implement policies:

Create and enforce hygiene protocols, food handling practices, and cleaning procedures.

Conduct audits and inspections:

Perform regular audits to assess sanitation, check equipment, monitor staff practices, and identify areas for improvement.

Staff training:

Educate and train all staff on best practices for personal hygiene, cleaning, and waste disposal.

Ensure compliance:

Verify that all operations meet local, national, and international health and safety regulations and standards.

Manage equipment:

Ensure all hygiene-related equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and in effective working order.

Incident management:

Investigate and report on hygiene-related incidents, such as foodborne illnesses, and implement corrective actions.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of all training, audits, inspections, and corrective actions.

Liaise with other departments:

Collaborate with other teams, such as food safety, quality assurance, and engineering, to ensure a comprehensive approach.

Pest control:

Work with pest control services to manage and review the effectiveness of pest control programs.

Qualifications:



A bachelor's or master's degree in a related field is often preferred. Relevant fields include Environmental Science, Biological Science, Industrial Technology, or Hotel and Restaurant Management.

Required Skills:



Knowledge:

Strong understanding of hygiene, sanitation, food safety, and relevant regulations (e.g., HACCP, OSHA).

Training:

Ability to conduct effective training sessions for diverse staff members.

Auditing:

Experience in conducting detailed audits and generating actionable reports.

Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with staff, management, and regulatory bodies.

Leadership:

Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team.

Problem-solving:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify risks and implement solutions.

Computer proficiency:

Competence in using computer programs like Word and Excel for record-keeping and reporting.

Education:

Often requires a high school diploma or GED, with 2 years of experience in a related field or a degree in a relevant area like Hotel and Restaurant Management or Environmental Health preferred.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
