Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Hydrogeologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for studying the movement, distribution, and quality of groundwater. This role involves conducting field investigations, data analysis, and modeling to support water resource management and environmental projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct field investigations, including drilling, sampling, and monitoring groundwater levels and quality.

2. Analyze and interpret data from field investigations, including water quality and aquifer testing.

3. Develop and apply numerical models to simulate groundwater flow and contaminant transport.

4. Evaluate and assess groundwater resources, including aquifer characterization and recharge estimation.

5. Collaborate with stakeholders, including government agencies, clients, and other team members.

6. Communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Field measurements: Collecting data on water levels, flow rates, and quality.
*Remote sensing and GIS: Analyzing satellite and aerial data to understand hydrological processes.

Modeling and simulation: Predicting water behavior and potential impacts.
Requirements:

1. Education: Master's degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Earth Sciences, or related field.

2. Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of experience in hydrogeology, groundwater modeling, or related field.

3. Skills:

1. Strong knowledge of groundwater flow and contaminant transport principles.

2. Experience with groundwater modeling software (e.g., MODFLOW).

3. Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., GIS, Python).

4. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

*SITE SELECTION FOR INTERVENTIONS TO BE PROPOSED FOR THE SPECIFIC SITE DEPENDING ON THE BUDGET PROPOSED AND THE SITE SUITABILITY

*MAP PREPARATION

*REPORT WRITING

GEOGRAPHICAL AND TOPOGRAPHICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SITE

*ANALYSING REGIONAL AND LOCAL GEOLOGICAL DATA OF THE AREA.

*TABULATION OF DIP/ STRIKE OF FRACTURE SETS AND OTHER GEOLOGICAL DATA (ROCK TYPE, SOIL TYPE, FOLIATION PLANE AND PROPOERTIES) AND HYDROGEOLOGICAL DATA (DISCHARGE OF THE STREAM/SPRING, pH, TDS, TEMPRATURE, ASPECT, SLOPE, GEOCOORDINATES) COLLECTED DURING FIELD VISIT.

*TABULATION OF ALL PROPOSED INTERVENTIONS MENTIONING THE CONVERGENCE OF BUDGET BETWEEN SARRA AND OTHER DEPARTMENTS

*MENTIONING SOCIAL AND ENVIROMENTAL IMPACT OF THE INTERVENTIONS PROPOSED.

*INCLUDING THE PHOTOGRAPHS TAKEN DURING FIELD VISIT

Pay: ?25,000.00 - ?40,000.00 per month
