Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting hydraulic systems and equipment across various industrial applications. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to interpret schematics. The Hydraulic Technician will play a vital part in ensuring the efficient operation of machinery such as presses, power packs, cylinders, contributing to the overall productivity and safety of our operations.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on hydraulic systems and components to ensure optimal performance Diagnose faults using schematics, electrical diagrams, and mechanical knowledge Fabricate and modify hydraulic parts as needed, including welding and soldering tasks Assemble hydraulic assemblies and perform equipment repairs using hand tools and power tools Read and interpret technical schematics, diagrams, and manuals accurately Perform welding, soldering, and fabrication work to repair or modify hydraulic components Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs undertaken

Requirements

Proven experience in hydraulic system maintenance, repair, or fabrication Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering equipment, and assembly techniques Ability to read technical schematics and electrical diagrams accurately Knowledge of electrical systems related to hydraulics is advantageous Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in demanding environments Excellent customer service skills when liaising with clients or internal teams Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or hydraulics are preferred but not essential
