Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Installation and Setup:

Assembling and aligning hydraulic system components for optimal performance.

Maintenance and Diagnostics:

Conducting regular inspections, identifying wear and leaks, and using diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues.

Repair and Overhaul:

Replacing damaged parts, rebuilding hydraulic systems, and ensuring systems are in proper working order.

Fluid Management:

Maintaining proper fluid levels, monitoring for contamination, and ensuring the use of compatible hydraulic oils.

Record Keeping:

Documenting all maintenance activities, repairs, and upgrades for compliance and operational tracking.

Troubleshooting:

Diagnosing and resolving issues with hydraulic systems, including leaks, pressure problems, and component malfunctions.

Safety Compliance:

Ensuring all work adheres to safety regulations and industry standards.

Collaboration:

Working with other technicians and engineers to resolve complex issues and improve system performance.

Training and Support:

Providing guidance and training to junior technicians.

Staying Updated:

Keeping abreast of new technologies and repair methods in the field of hydraulics.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Proficiency:

Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, components, and schematics.

Diagnostic Skills:

Ability to use diagnostic tools and machinery to identify and resolve hydraulic system issues.

Mechanical Aptitude:

Manual dexterity and attention to detail are essential for working with hydraulic components.

Problem-Solving Skills:

Ability to analyze and resolve complex hydraulic system problems.

Communication Skills:

Ability to effectively communicate with team members, engineers, and other personnel.

Safety Awareness:

Understanding and adhering to safety regulations and protocols.

Physical Stamina:

Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting and moving equipment.

Educational Background:

Typically a high school diploma or equivalent, with vocational training or certification in hydraulic systems maintenance preferred.
