Experience: 5-10 years (Power Plant / Heavy Industry preferred)
Qualification: B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical / Civil / Hydraulic Engineering or equivalent
Job Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain hydraulic systems and equipment used in the power plant, including turbines, pumps, cooling systems, valves, and piping networks.
Monitor and troubleshoot hydraulic systems to ensure efficient and safe operation.
Perform hydraulic calculations for flow, pressure, and system performance to optimize plant operations.
Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of hydraulic components in power plant systems (e.g., ash handling, coal handling, hydro turbines, and cooling water systems).
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance for hydraulic machinery to minimize downtime.
Ensure hydraulic systems comply with safety standards, statutory regulations, and environmental requirements.
Prepare technical documentation, reports, and manuals related to hydraulic equipment.
Coordinate with project, operations, and maintenance teams to resolve hydraulic-related issues.
Work with vendors and contractors for procurement, inspection, and quality assurance of hydraulic equipment.
Implement energy efficiency and cost-saving measures in hydraulic operations.
Key Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of hydraulic system design, testing, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and power plant processes.
Hands-on experience with pumps, turbines, valves, and control systems.
Knowledge of AutoCAD / hydraulic design software.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and P&ID diagrams.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Good communication and team coordination abilities.
