Hybrid Cloud Platform Architect

This role has been designated as \xe2\x80\x98Hybrid\xe2\x80\x99 with an expectation that you will work on average 2-3 days per week from an HPE office.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

• Lead and mentor of other technical consultant

• Define technical delivery plan to guide solution delivery for the enterprise.
• Create, document, and communicate the integration approach of all the components of the architecture.
• Perform design reviews of solutions to ensure the design aligns and supports the specified architecture. Research, analyze, determine viability and propose solution alternatives.
• Develop road maps describing the evolution of all enterprise solution portfolios from current state to future state and the related migration path.
• Demonstrate strong technical knowledge and hands-on ability on how portfolios of systems work together to create enterprise solutions. Support of enterprise tools needed for development and QA processes.
• Ability to establish and maintain a high level of trust, confidence and intellectual integrity with both Business and IT partners.

The Hybrid Cloud Virtualization Architect should be specialized in Solution Design, Build and migration.

Should be well versed with hybrid cloud (On-prem. and public cloud) experience and have hands-on experience in migrating customers to the hybrid cloud with any workloads.

The Technical Consultant is a customer-facing delivery role that must be able to provide advisory consulting to customers and lead the technical delivery.

What you need to bring:

Mandatory Skills

• Delivery / Hands-on Experience on HPE Compute Platforms and HPE Storage Platforms
• Deep knowledge on Linux Platforms; preferably knowledgeable on Microsoft OS and its Management stack
• Good knowledge on Networking fundamentals and Linux Networking delivery skills.

Skills Required \xe2\x80\x93 Detailed:

• Comprehensive and working knowledge of Linux (Redhat/SUSE)
• Design, Build and Migrate in SUSE/Redhat Linux platform
• Familiar with Data Center Virtualization and Hosting Architecture
• Experience in Design, Implementing and maintaining VMWare vSphere
• Troubleshooting and remediation of KVM, VMware environment (vSphere and Tanzu)
• OS and patch management with Linux Patch Management Tools
• Cluster configuration, management and troubleshooting. Experience in deployment of Pacemaker Cluster.
• Proficiencies in monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning SLES and red hat.
• Experience on container and Kubernetes
• Perform health check of VM and host performance, resource utilization, fine-tuning etc.
• Virtualization process & documentation
• Performance analysis reports for trend analysis in the environment.
• P2V, V2V migrations using VMware Converter & other industry standard tools.
• Handle issues related to VMware (HA & Motion issues, cluster configuration issues)
• Have experience on Linux server, Patching and Hardening
• Automate the tasks by creating scripts using Ansible and Python as per the customer\xe2\x80\x99s requirement
• Have Certifications relevant to Linux, Virtualization & Infra Automation

Skills - Advantage:

In the DevOps area, the Technical Consultant must have broad experience in Consultancy, Design, and Implementation projects, with Operations and Development background,

• good knowledge of CI/CD Tools (Jenkins, Gitlab, Azure DevOps, \xe2\x80\xa6),
• Automation (Ansible, Terraform, VMware vRO, etc.),
• programming/scripting languages (python, JavaScript, PowerShell, groovy, go\xe2\x80\xa6),
• REST APIs interactions, App testing Engines (pytest, inspect, molecule) and
• Control version repositories (Git).

Skills - Preferable: (not mandatory)

• Experience in the cloud infrastructure project to public clouds such as AWS and Azure using technologies such as AWS SMS, Azure Migrate, Plate Spin and CloudEndure.
• Certification on AWS or Azure \xe2\x80\x93 e.g., Amazon Certified Solutions Architect \xe2\x80\x93 Associate or Professional Level
• Understanding of hybrid cloud solutions and experience of integrating public cloud into traditional hosting/delivery models
• Strong understanding of cloud migration techniques and workflows (on-premises to Cloud Platforms)
