We are looking for a skilled
HVAC Design Engineer
to join our team on a remote, part-time basis. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in HVAC system design and a passion for mentoring/knowledge sharing.
Key Responsibilities
Design HVAC systems (Cooling/Heating/ Ventilation) for residential, commercial, and industrial projects using international codes & standards.
Prepare HVAC design documents including:
Heat load calculations
Duct sizing & layouts
Equipment selection (chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF, etc.)
Ventilation & exhaust system design
Collaborate with ACTMEP's BIM team to integrate HVAC systems into 3D models.
Review and provide technical support on MEP coordination drawings.
Support ACTMEP's training programs by:
Providing real-world project examples
Reviewing course content for accuracy and industry relevance
Guiding students/trainees occasionally (optional, if interested)
Stay updated with ASHRAE, SMACNA, ISHRAE, and other relevant standards.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
3+ years of proven HVAC design experience (consultancy or contracting background).
Proficiency in HVAC design tools/software such as HAP, AutoCAD, Revit MEP (preferred).
Strong knowledge of ASHRAE standards, ISHRAE, and international codes.
Ability to work independently and deliver accurate designs within deadlines.
Excellent communication and remote collaboration skills.
Preferred (Not Mandatory)
Experience with BIM coordination (Navisworks / Revit clash detection).
Prior teaching, training, or mentoring experience.
Familiarity with Middle East/Gulf project standards.
