Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
Perform regular preventive maintenance and inspections on HVAC systems, chillers, air handling units (AHUs), and exhaust systems.
Troubleshoot and repair HVAC/R systems to minimize downtime and maintain optimal performance.
Monitor and adjust building management systems (BMS) to maintain proper environmental conditions in patient care and sterile areas.
Ensure that temperature, humidity, and air exchange rates meet hospital and healthcare regulatory standards (e.g., ASHRAE, OSHA, local health authorities).
Respond promptly to HVAC-related emergency calls and alarms.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and service reports.
Collaborate with infection control and clinical teams to maintain HVAC support in critical care areas (ICUs, ORs, labs).
Safely handle refrigerants and follow EPA and hospital protocols for their disposal.
Ensure compliance with all hospital safety protocols, codes, and health regulations.
