The HVAC Project Engineer is responsible for planning, execution, coordination, and completion of HVAC works at project sites in line with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project timelines. The role involves close coordination with clients, consultants, vendors, and internal teams to ensure successful delivery of HVAC systems including VRV/VRF, chilled water, DX, and ventilation systems.
1. Project Execution & Site Management
Execute HVAC works as per approved GFC drawings, BOQ, and technical specifications
Supervise installation of VRV/VRF systems, chilled water piping, ducting, insulation, and ventilation works
Coordinate daily site activities with subcontractors and technicians
Ensure adherence to project schedule and milestones
2. Planning & Coordination
Prepare work plans, method statements, and installation sequences
Coordinate with civil, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting teams
Attend coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and PMC
Handle site queries, RFIs, and technical clarifications
3. Material & Vendor Management
Raise material requisitions as per site requirements
Coordinate with procurement and OEMs for timely delivery of HVAC equipment
Inspect delivered materials for compliance with approved submittals
Maintain material consumption and inventory records
4. Quality Control & Compliance
Ensure installation complies with approved shop drawings and standards
Conduct quality checks and inspections at various stages of work
Ensure compliance with ISHRAE / ASHRAE / IS codes and project specifications
Maintain QA/QC documentation and checklists
5. Testing, Commissioning & Handover
Plan and execute testing, commissioning, and balancing of HVAC systems
Coordinate with OEMs for start-up and performance testing
Prepare testing reports, O&M manuals, and as-built drawings
Support final handover and client sign-off
6. Cost & Documentation Control
Monitor quantities and control wastage
Assist in RA bills, variation orders, and measurement sheets
Maintain daily progress reports (DPRs) and site records
7. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
Ensure compliance with site safety norms and work permits
Conduct toolbox talks and enforce PPE usage
Report and mitigate safety hazards
