The HVAC Technician is responsible for installation, operation, monitoring, and maintenance of HVAC systems, including chiller plants, to ensure efficient and uninterrupted cooling and ventilation services. The role requires hands-on technical expertise to maintain system performance, safety, and energy efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspection, preventive maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems.
Operate and maintain chiller plants, AHUs, FCUs, cooling towers, and associated equipment.
Diagnose HVAC system faults and carry out corrective actions promptly.
Monitor system performance to ensure optimal efficiency and compliance with standards.
Maintain logs and records of maintenance activities and system performance.
Coordinate with supervisors and external service providers for specialized repairs.
Ensure adherence to safety practices and statutory regulations.
Assist in installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC equipment when required.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Educational Qualification:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
or
Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering.
Professional Certifications:
Certification in HVAC / Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (preferred).
Safety or chiller plant operation certifications will be an added advantage.
Professional Experience:
Minimum
3+ years
of experience as an HVAC Technician.
Hands-on experience in HVAC maintenance and chiller plant operations is mandatory.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chiller plants, and refrigeration cycles.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment effectively.
Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and tools.
Understanding of safety standards and energy efficiency practices.
Good communication and coordination skills.
