Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced
HVAC Design Engineer
to join our team at Bhopal. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in
HVAC system design
, load calculations, equipment selection, and preparation of detailed engineering drawings. The role requires hands-on experience in designing HVAC systems for industrial, commercial, and institutional projects.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop
HVAC systems
including chilled water systems, VRF/VRV, DX systems, ventilation, and exhaust systems
Perform
cooling and heating load calculations
using software/tools (e.g., HAP, E20, or equivalent)
Equipment selection for chillers, AHUs, FCUs, pumps, cooling towers, ducting, and piping
Prepare
HVAC design drawings
, layouts, schematics, and BOQs using AutoCAD/Revit
Ensure compliance with relevant
codes, standards, and guidelines
(ASHRAE, ISHRAE, NBC, etc.)
Coordinate with architects, structural, electrical, and plumbing teams for integrated design
Support project execution team with design clarifications and technical documentation
Review vendor submittals, technical datasheets, and shop drawings
Participate in design reviews and value engineering activities
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of
HVAC design principles and calculations
Proficiency in
AutoCAD
(Revit MEP preferred)
Experience with HVAC design software such as
HAP, Trace, or equivalent
Good understanding of
ASHRAE, ISHRAE, NBC, SMACNA standards
Ability to prepare technical reports, BOQs, and specifications
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication and coordination abilities
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
(B.E./B.Tech)
HVAC certification or specialized training will be an added advantage
Experience
2-5 years
of relevant experience in
HVAC system designing
Experience in industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects preferred
