Job Description

System Design and Planning: Develop HVAC system designs based on the building's requirements and specifications. Create detailed plans and blueprints for HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, and equipment layouts.

? Load Calculations: Perform heating and cooling load calculations to determine the capacity and size of HVAC systems required. Use software tools and engineering principles to calculate the energy needs of the building.

? Equipment Selection: Select appropriate HVAC equipment, such as boilers, chillers, heat pumps, air handlers, and ventilation fans. Ensure that equipment meets performance standards and energy efficiency requirements.

? System Integration: Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate HVAC systems into the overall building design. Ensure that HVAC systems are compatible with electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

? Compliance and Standards: Ensure that HVAC designs comply with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., ASHRAE, SMACNA). Stay updated on new regulations and standards affecting HVAC design and implementation.

? Energy Efficiency and Sustainability: Incorporate energy-efficient and sustainable design practices into HVAC systems. Evaluate and implement renewable energy sources and green building technologies.
